Just a few minutes drive south of the Dordogne in the gently rolling countryside of the Lot & Garonne is a truly special holiday home.
The 2 bedroom gite offers everything for a great stay With a fabulous open living space incorporating kitchen, dining and cosy lounge, plus two luxurious en-suite bedrooms opening out onto the side terrace.
Renovated to the highest standard with a real attention to detail, from solid oak doors, to fantastic 'Jim Lawrence' light fittings,hand built painted country kitchen with granite worktops, truly comfortable beds with luxurious bedding, real terracotta floors with underfloor heating and even UK satellite TV.

The Bread Oven at Gigan is one of two adjacent rental properties - the other farmhouse can be rented together with The Bread Oven - great for two families sharing or really big gatherings. Completing this idylic enclave are a traditional colombage barn and a wooden tobacco barn.
Just south of the village of Tombeboeuf set in large landscaped gardens and approached through electric gates, the garden just goes on and on with a lots of different areas to suit your mood - benches hidden away in quiet spots and even a group of daybeds hidden amongst the pine trees for lazy afternoons!
[bold]The 12 x 6m salt water pool is spectacular, tucked into the hill with wide terraces and surrounded by lavender hedges. The shallow end has Roman Steps for easy entry and a great deep end for a more active entry!
For the active there are bikes (on request), table tennis, babminton and croquet. There's a great selection of board games and DVDs and an even better selection of books, from guide books to novels and children's books.
There's also UK Sky TV and wireless broadband just in case!
You enter the cottage directly into the living room - the ceiling towers into the beamed apex with a giant modern chandelier. To the left is the hand built cream painted kitchen with granite worksurfaces, hob, oven, fridge, washing machine and dishwasher. The Laura Ashley painted table seats 6 and looks out through double french doors to the shaded and secluded rear terrace. To the right of the french doors is the lounge area - two enormous comfy sofas (one a fully sprung double sofabed) frame the log burning stove. The flat screen TV with DVD & Sky is on the wall.
The shaded terrace is totally secluded and private. A terracotta table has seating 6. Perfect for outdoor meals or just relaxing! The beautiful restored windmill of Coulx sits on the hill a few hundred yards above you - great to look at anytime, but truly atmospheric flood lit at night!
To the right of the room are 4 steps (with hand rails) down to a small hallway and doors to the two bedrooms which are identical in size with fully tiled quality shower room, plenty of storage, windows with mosquito netting and double french doors opening onto the side terrace with views of the windmill and rolling countryside.

Blue Room This fantastic room has a 6 foot antique French painted bed - the ultimate in comfort and luxury!
Shower Rooms Each of the bedrooms has a fully tiled shower room with heated towel rail and underfloor heating - there's a third shower room off the rear terrace, no need to traipse through the house with feet wet from the pool!
